I hope all of you are having a good night! I’m sorry the QOTD was so late. I just couldn’t find time because I had school, writing, and a webinar to watch. Yeet.
Anyways, today marks the day of a HUGE scientific breakthrough! The Event Horizon Telescope captured an image of energy and gas orbiting the supermassive black hole in the galaxy M87. What was once presumed an unseeable object is now seeable. The impossible has been made possible!
In the image, you can also see the event horizon of the black hole (the dark spot in the center) which is the point of no return. Not even light can escape it (which is why we call it a black hole, because there’s no light there).
It’s honestly so incredible, because we uncovered something previously deemed impossible to see.
Frickin’ DOPE. I will likely post again about this, so stay tuned.

You are a function of what the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is a function of what the whole ocean is doing.
